Boric Acid Ointment 5% Dosage form: Ointment Description: White ointment. Composition: 100 g of ointment contains: active ingredient - boric acid 5 g, excipient - petrolatum 95 g. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antiseptic agent. Indications for use: Mainly used as an pediculicide (anti-pediculosis (lice)-killing) agent. Boric Acid Ointment can also be used for skin diseases (various types of eczema, dermatitis, pyodermiapyoderma, diaper rash). Method of administration and dosage: For external use. Apply a thin layer to the affected area. Do not apply the preparation to extensive areas of skin. Long-term use for more than 5-7 days is not recommended. For pediculosis, apply 5% boric acid ointment to the scalp in amounts of 10-15-25 g (depending on the degree of infestation and hair density), then rinse with warm water after 20-30 minutes and thoroughly comb with a comb. For dermatitis, apply the ointment only to undamaged areas of skin. Packaging: 25 g of ointment in an aluminum tube. Storage conditions: Store in a place out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Do not use the medication after the expiration date indicated on the packaging!
